Just a quick nod of appreciation in the direction of Bob Cefalu & sons (RC Tonewoods) and Steve Roberson (Colonial Tonewoods). Over the past couple of months, I've purchased some of the most beautiful woods I've ever had from these men. From RC, I picked up a gorgeous set of macassar ebony b&S set, and from Steve, some of the prettiest ziricote I've ever seen. In addition, Steve threw in some amazing 'freebies', among them a great bridge blank and headplate veneer of the same material.
I've gotten some very nice woods from other suppliers, but these gentlemen not only provide a great product at a very fair price, but their service & integrity are beyond question.
My only problem now? I fear these two sets are just too beautiful for spec guitars. They really deserve to be incorporated into a custom order. Hey, that should be my worst problem.
At any rate, thanks to Steve, and Bob C & sons for making an already rewarding trade even more so.
Amazing wood suppliers
