Ipe for fret-board and bridge?

Anyone have experience using ipe for fretboard or bridge? Good or bad experience?

I have used it for decks. It is very dense.

You are going to have a very difficult time fretting it, and will probably need to use epoxy to glue it to the neck....I would not use it.

I think it may be too heavy for a good bridge, but if you are up for a good challenge it could make a nice fretboard. Slots would need to be wider, It is not overly oily and I know from experience it glues well with urethane and suspect with proper procedures TB would work as well. Gonna take some life off the tooling for sure, but I think it may have potential for great sustain as a fretboard.
