New Skin / Style

Post by seanbig »

The forum now has a WoodTone skin. If you would rather revert back to the blue scheme, you can do this by doing the following:

1. Click User Control Panel - Top Right
2. Click Board Preferences - Under Options on left
3. Select subsilver2 - To the right of "My board style"
4. Press submit

There is also an option for prosilver which is another standard skin from phpBB.

It looks fine. However, I find the lettering in the darker brown areas very hard to read. (Such as this post).. I would be surprised if I were the only one. It's something you may want to think about. ;)

I found the options and reset it for my vision! Great feature.. ;)

rgogo65,

Thanks for the heads up. I will see if I can get some better contrasting colours for the darker sections.

Yes...I also changed to the blue because the brown was too hard on these tired eyes.

me too, just changed to the blue/silver. But I like the brown/yellow...just see if you can eliminate the dark area for posted messages.

Kevin and Others,

I recently lightened up the brown a bit. I still need to change some images that are too dark that I can't change until later tonight. Let me know if the lighter brown has helped out with visibility.

Thanks,

I'm using the wood tone, and it looks pretty good to me.

That is better, but perhaps if the font color is black, it will show up even better.

Yes, I like that idea Kevin, did you set yours to black, it shows up much better?

Kevin,

I took your advice with the black text. I think it helped out a lot. There are still some things that show up dark on dark that I need to take care of, but for the most part I think we've got a lot more contrast.
