I am attaching a photo from my first build. The photo was taken at Blues Creek Guitars.

Sean, I just tried to upload a photo and it failed because it was too large (apparently the limit is 256K). I edited and saved the photo at 85% quality and it was considerably less than 256K. I then tried uploading the photo and it said it was too large and stated the max size is 800x800 pixels.

Since it takes up no more disk storage, any chance you can leave the file size limit but allow larger photos? In this day and age, 800 pixels isn't much (and neither is 256K for that matter). A lot of folks run 1280x1024 resolution and almost everyone uses 1024x768 or higher. You can see a lot more detail in a larger picture even when it is still 256K or less. Seems this would be a big help on this forum where folks post detailed photos asking for help.

Darryl,

I increased the resolution to 3000x3000 and the file size to about 5M. The photo will resize in the post, but it can be clicked on to see the full size.

Let me know if you have any problems.

FYI, when I uploaded a pic the other day, it said the file size limit was now 500KB.

Darryl,

I fixed it and it now should be 5MB. Thanks for the heads up.

Here's a good online resource for resizing images and its simple to use. Members of my model ship building site have been using it for a couple of years now and love it (especially those that are not so computer literate):

I just open them in MS Paint and resize them (if they are too big.. right now my camera is set to save the images in the smallest, web friendly size, so no need).

Picasa is a free program from google that lets you make quick mass edits.
