Post by tippie53 »

Ebay is requiring sellers to stop using paypal and to give them ( Ebay ) social security numbers and bank account info to sell Well I will not. When they get hacked And you know they will people are going to be hurt. So tell your friends I am alive and well and active on https://bluescreekguitars.com/

I've never been a big fan of Ebay anyway and I've always purchased direct anyway.

I've been selling on Ebay for 22 years this month. I've seen the time when I could take cash and money orders, personal checks in the mail. To the advent of Bill Pay that Ebay started up right after Paypal became available. Then Ebay dropped BillPay and bought out Paypal. Now it looks like another huge transition has already begun with some new Ebay payment service. I'm with you John, I really don't want to take payments directly into a bank account. I've always enjoyed the simplicity of of receiving payment, especially once Paypal came on the scene. Not sure what I will do. I only sell my duck calls on there now, and that is amounts to maybe 50 sales a year there, but it is my main outlet to sell my hobby craft. I will use them to the bitter end when it is forced on me, then I'll have to decide what to do. I think it is a bummer.

When I first started selling knives on ebay in 1998, there would be maybe, 50 to 100 auctions of knives at the most at a time, and 25 or so of those would be mine....it sure has grown since those first years.
