I don't like the idea of adding extra weight to the bridge.

It's not just the weight. I see a great potential for a shift in the leverage the string has at the bridge. In essence like raising or lowering the saddle and or entire bridge. Then there is the potential for catastrophic failure by player install.......imagine 1 or 2 of those gizmos being to tight of a fit in the holes.......CRACK!! Or being loose and then when the washer heads wear into the plate a bit or the bolts start to vibrate loose and then it eggs out the hole so nothing will fit.

Actually, from a repair perspective I suppose i should be happy....I see future work........

I read the article and I think this is the same guy that sell ice to the eskimos
