Hanalei Moon retires. Blues Creek will continue the line.

Post by tippie53 »

As you may know Chris Steinert has retired from making necks. He has allowed us to take it over. It will be a while till we are in full production. We are also setting up a video shoot as Chris will manufacture the neck jig and we will be the point of sale for the unit.
I will let you all know when the necks are being produced and when the neck jig will be available. Again thanks for all your support, you are the reason for our success.

We do want the information to be accurate and let you know that we are here to help.

Glad to hear this, John. I thought Hanalei Moon necks were the best available. I've bought three of them.

Congrats on the new venture. I understand Chris was hit by the storm and shut down which probably expedited his retirement, but I wish the best to him and his family too.

That's really good, bad news. Most of my instruments have HM necks and Chris was always a pleasure to deal with. I wish him all the best.
Now my shipping cost will be replaced with a road trip!

My first post on this board! Wooohoooo!

I have build 18 guitars - and 16 of them have Hanalei-Moon necks. Really came as a shock to hear that Chris "retired". So sad. LOVED working with him. A true craftsman and gentleman in every way!

John, give me a shout as I'd like to know how things are proceeding. I've got 4-6 guitars scheduled for the year and am going to need necks PLEASE!
