What I do in my other life.
I am spending more time in the guitar shop than the knife making shop these days, but I managed to crank these two knives out over the last few months. I've been doing this for about 20 years.
I hope you like seeing them.

pretty cool Kevin - how are these knives used? are they for 'show' or do they have a specific function? Sorry for my ignorance. :) You do the blade as well as the handle?

John,
I haven't heard of Jerry. Where does he hail from?
John, question about that wood I've got. Does mahogany usually look that dark a brown under finish?
Darren,
Honestly these are hunting knives, and some who buy them use them, they are totally functional, but they do look good too. If used the brass tarnishes and gets marked up, but if left to sit in a collection the brass tarnishes too. I make the blades and have a heat treating oven to harden them. These are a tool steel grade stainless, polished very shining with no tool marks.
I've enjoyed making them, but the guitar making is gaining in my desire for time. :>)

Beautiful Knives, Kevin. I love knives, but really have no practical every day use for them. My wife gives me crap every time she sees a new pocket knife.

BEAUTIFUL, Kevin. I'm a police chief in my other life and some of my officers would love to have a knife that looks like that. I know I would, I have a small display collection (nothing yours though).

Thanks Gents.
Tony, I do sell on Ebay occassionally, but it is not a very good market place these days for hand made knives.
However, these are for sale........Christmas is coming!!!!!!
Take your pick; $200 each includes shipping.
Ah shucks, I just couldn't resist making the sales pitch!

If I had nice knives like those, I fear I may get to stabby with others. My brother the hunter might like one. I will talk to his wife.
