Oh John, another really good guess but still not it. This wood is a bit more yellow than it appears in my pictures, I don't know if it's the lighting or the poor choice of carpet background color that I used. (not enough contrast)

Another hint: This wood comes chiefly from Brazil.

Brazilian Canary wood. Brazilian yellowish wood. Brazilian Poplar. Brazilian yellow poplar. Brazilian I'm out of guesses wood.

You guys are killing me. Pequia Amarello (Aspidosperma sp.), this is not the most gorgeous wood on the face of the planet but it will hold it's color, it will not darken or fade with time or exposure.
