No, no, no! Not Hickory, not Camphor, not Makore, not Chestnut, not Laurel, not Birch, not Blue Gum or Ash, and no Tony it's not quilted Fricken Maple, not even close. OK, time for another hint, it grows almost exclusively in the Pacific Northwest, C'mon John Parchem and everyone else that lives out west. Although it is not the most common lumber used, it also is not at all rare!

Hey Dave, if you make a long enough list you're bound to get lucky enough to list it. Arbutus Menziesii, Madrone it is, burl as a matter of fact, sometimes called Strawberry Tree and Madrona.

It's the color not the style of the carpet that I object to. It It's not maple, it must be some other sort of wood.

Ironically the name/style/color of the carpet is Pacific Cherry Chestnut. I'll seem
if I can find some Maple type carpet, just for you Tony Maroni!
