Thanks Tracy! I enjoyed the day, too, and I am glad we were able to make that connection. Thank you for the invite.

And, this guitar was hopeless. I got it at Goodwill for 19.95 (an Alvarez) -- with a split back, split top in several places that I practiced on fixing, a twisted neck (almost 1/4" twist), so I stole the tuners and decided to keep the neck just because I liked its profile.

Pretty weird sawing into a guitar -- even a hopeless one! (They saw pretty easy, though!)

Thanks again - Bill

Thanks for the heart thump Bill. I was just getting ready to find another spiritual leader before reading your explanation. ;-). This kinda gets to several threads on the forum...

I can hear;
Cameron..."How do you folks cut soundholes?" or
canuckplaya..."Anyone know how to take apart a guitar?" .

Just remember..."It ain't a mistake unless you can't fix it!" - Royce Kessler

Ha! Keith, that's a good one. Funny how those threads could be great captions! And even by ol' Royce's definition, this guitar was full of mistakes.
