I just sprayed my finish and now am waiting for it to cure to start buffing. I don't have the neck or the bridge on the guitar. Should I put them on before or after buffing the guitar?

Complete your finishing procedure before removing the masking --- make sure you scribe the masking before removal to prevent peeling off the finish -- just prior to that take a small bar of soap and coat the surface around the mask, this prevent any glue residue/squeeze out from sticking to the finish when you assemble the bridge.

Its much easier to polish without the interference of the tight corners of the FB, neck and bridge.

I like to remove the bridge mask prior to finishing so I can really level the top around the bridge with fine sandpaper prior to buffing. If you go this route, you'll have to watch you don't get your buffing compounds on the top or use a razor blade as a scraper to clean up the exposed wood after buffing.
