Hiya - I've got 5 coats of tru-oil on the back of my EIR. And it is looking GORGEOUS!

There are, however, a few open pores that draw one's amazement from the gorgeosity of the rest of the finish.

Anyone have experience drop filling at this stage?

Yes, I like to make up words :-)

Thanks
Dave B

Ok, it works. A few pix showing back and open pores.

I hope these help with the diagnosis.

Tell us! I want to see how to get the totalness of gorgeosity on my next one, which will be EIR or something close.

I'm sorry, I can't share that secret. But I DO like your word choices! :-)

Oh, okay ---I rubbed in some more Tru-oil. With a little attitude in my rubbing hand. Filled in nicely.

You could also try CA glue, sand lightly and flush, then wipe a couple of layers of truoil over it.
