Number One all finished!

Hi all,

Well, it's been almost two years in the making, but #1 is finally done. Stew Mac dread, built pretty much to spec. There's been a few hiccups along the way, but it's all been worth it. It sounds terrific; although I have to be careful when strumming because the bottom end can be a bit overpowering. Great action (although today I noticed a tiny bit of buzz on a couple of strings on the first fret; maybe not quite finished after all!)

On the shot of the back, you can see the guitar's "birthmark", where I gouged out a bit of the side and had to fill it with a piece of scrap.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the advice over the course of the journey; much appreciated. Here's hoping #2 won't take as long!

Some piccies below.

I'm impressed! How does she sound? Did you get the action like you wanted it?

Looks like she turned out well, Simon! Congrats! The second one is always quicker. I spent several hours reading for each hour building on the first one. Did much better on the second! Now, I almost have the training wheels off!
