Well, it's been almost two years in the making, but #1 is finally done. Stew Mac dread, built pretty much to spec. There's been a few hiccups along the way, but it's all been worth it. It sounds terrific; although I have to be careful when strumming because the bottom end can be a bit overpowering. Great action (although today I noticed a tiny bit of buzz on a couple of strings on the first fret; maybe not quite finished after all!)
On the shot of the back, you can see the guitar's "birthmark", where I gouged out a bit of the side and had to fill it with a piece of scrap.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the advice over the course of the journey; much appreciated. Here's hoping #2 won't take as long!
