Any chance of seeing this forum swapped over to vBulletin?

This place is great, and I think it would go a long way towards making it more user friendly.

Nope. Not possible to migrate the very large database reliably.

I find the forum as user friendly as I need.

I make a few typos that can't be edited at times, but that doesn't seem to stop communication of my ideas and after a false start or two way back, I've posted more than maybe a dozen photos to the forum.

Don't need an avatar etc.

I agree, it's the best forum on guitar building on the www.

I haven't found any flaws in this forum system. To be honest I really like it. It's extremely user friendly and easy to use.

Quick question Bill....do you have a 1-2 word low end limit? There's beena couple times I have been given the "your comment could not be posted...." message. No problem if you do, just curious if that is why some of my posts have bounced. If you don't, I may have an issue on my end i need to identify.

Hey Ken -- I don't have a low word count limit that I know of.

I've gotten that same error message you describe off and on for three years and I have come to the conclusion that there's just a traffic jam of electrons somewhere along the line. Usually, what I do it copy the text of my post, close the window of the forum, reopen the window and paste the text in. It works for me, anyway.

I think we all get that error from time to time, so it's not at your end.

There seems to be a problem with the 'Search' function. No matter what I put into the box, it comes up with the same list of discussions.
I'm doing this on a Mac and I've tried a couple of different browsers. Same result.

Hmmm. I'll check into it and report.

Dan -- the "search" function on individual forums never has worked right -- if that's the one you're talking about. Go to the home page and do the search using the box there; it works better anyway.
