After a couple of months of work, I finally got my workshop into a reasonable condition.

That got me to thinking I would see if there is any interest in an informal get together the last weekend of September.

Tentatively, I'll grill burgers, pot luck on everything else, bring any items you might want to show off or trade or sell. Just a friendly day of swapping stories, skills, lies and whatever.

John Hall of Blues Creek will be here and sharing his experience.

Let me know if your interested, at this time it looks like Saturday 9/26 will be the day

The plans for the Columbia South Carolina get together have been firmed up now.

Saturday 9/26 (the last weekend of Sept)

7804 Dartmoore Lane, Columbia. Very convenient, about one mile from the intersection of I20 and I77.

I'll be ready for visitors by 9:00 am, grilled burgers about noon.

John Hall has generously offered to do some demo's for us (Inlay and dove tail neck set). And, if anyone is interested, I'll demonstrate the "Hall Method" of rim assembly and radiusing (John Hall's method with a couple of my own refinements).

Show off your projects finished or unfinished.

It'll be a great opportunity to get or give advice, good or bad.

Feel free to bring anything Luthier related you want to sell or swap.

Everyone is welcome, no matter your skill level!

I can't believe I never saw this post, as a lurker for many months, and always looking for a builder near Charleston, I just never looked in this section. Sorry I missed a great opportunity, and if you ever have another gathering, I now know to check this category a bit more regularly
