This is the best instructional video I have ever seen! Clear, concised, and even a little entertaining!
It truely takes all the mystic out of setting up an acoustic guitar. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I have it on order. By the way, LMI and Stewmac both charge $8.50 to send this DVD. It probably weighs a few ounces. I think that that is way too much to charge for media rate or even first class shipping. I ordered through http://apprenticepublishing.com/adjusting.htm and saved $4.00. I would have liked to support LMI or Stewmac but felt that the shipping was a total ripoff.

And on a second rant...It also pisses me off that these two companies make a bunch of money off members of this forum and bills other site, kitguitarbuilder.com and do seemingly nothing to help these sites survival. Bill could really use the advertising revenue and unless I am mistaken, they enjoy free advertising on both sites. and do no reciprocity at all. Bill do I have it right?

Hi Stuart -- you do have it absolutely right. They have both refused to advertise here, saying "they don't get very many 'click-throughs' from forums like this one."

Too bad they gauge everything by click-throughs -- I guess they ahve to have some measurable way to measuring response, but I think we all agree that -- like you said -- they get a heck of a lot of business because of this forum.

Oh well .. nothing I can do about it ... :-)

I often think the commercial establishments -- big and small -- for some reason don' t think they need to acknowledge us very little guys who feed them.

If you go to Apprentice Publishing through his site, it only cost $4 to ship.
That's what I did.

No problem Woody.... BTW, I just finished the first run through this DVD. I immediately decided to attack my Martin OM35 and lo and behold, the tone and action are MUCH better. I'm going to watch it again today and take copious notes. I have seen many Luthier DVD's and at least for me, this one stands out .

Everett lectures and demonstrates a system for setting up guitars that maximizes tone and action. I only wish that I had seen this when I finished my first guitar. Oh well, better late than never!
