Hi All,
I am looking for a sheet of transfer adhesive to re-stick my pickguard. It is a standard Martin size.
Does anyone have some they could sell to me for a buck or two and mail to me for the price of the envelope and stamp? I'm not trying to be cheap here, it just that LMI and StewMac want about $9 to ship it and I don't need anything else from them at this time. I can pay with Paypal, or I'll send money in advance.
Thanks guys..

Kevin

The LMII and StewMac shipping irritate me frequently. If I need one item, I look for anything else I may need in the next few months. Sorry I can't be of more help, all I can do is commiserate.

Kevin -- I think I have a sheet of it I got awhile back. Tel me how long and wide you need it and send me your address. (Just click my name at left to send the email to me.) You can pay for whatever it's worth using the "donation" button at the bottom of the home page of the forum.

Bill,
I will do. I've been meaning to donate to our forum anyway.
I appreciate it.

Has anyone ever tried this product for applying pickguards?

http://www.findtape.com/product335/Scapa-4450-Adhesive-Transfer-Tape.aspx?cid=11&idx=9&tid=1&info=Double-Sided+Tape

It's call transfer tape adhesive. I picked up a roll off this site to use for my pickguards. My first test today was with scrap. I attached a piece of EIR to the front of my workbench. It was easy to apply and the scrap stayed put. Late in the afternoon, I removed the scrap, and reattached it and it still had good adhesion.

If no one tells me not to use it and why, I'll update the site after I try another test and use it.

Lance.
