my top is very blond and it has some neat bear claw features.
What do you use to get this to show off? i would like for the top to be a little darker, more amber maybe.
Thanks Dave

I wouldn't do anything, It (the bearclaw)will stand out when you put finish on it unless you want it just darker.

rub some naptha onto it, and you will see exactly what a finished soundboard will look like. I admire my work in process a lot like that. Might help speed things up if I did a little less.

Actually, I find that the finished wood looks even better than what it looks like with naphtha. Like Paul and Ken said, just use clear or maybe amber lacquer on it to make it really stand out.

thanks, I think I will look around and see what I can do to make it a little darker, Mine is about the same as the 000 that davidmor built.
I think i will just add atouch of amber to the laquer.
thanks dave
